Road 400 Closure
“Forest Road 400 on Boggs Mountain Demonstration State Forest has been severely impacted by the recent storms. CAL FIRE staff have closed a portion of the road indefinitely due to a slide from above at the Forest road 220/400 intersection and below at the Forest Road 300/ 400 Intersection as highlighted on the map. There is no estimated time on re-opening. The area encircled in red on the map, which includes a portion of Crew Trail is not safe and is also closed. Recreating during inclement weather conditions is discouraged until weather subsides as areas of the forest can become more hazardous. Forest staff reminds visitors to plan ahead before arriving to the outdoors. You can learn more about CAL FIREs Demonstration State Forests at https://www.fire.ca.gov/what-we-do/natural-resource-management/demonstration-state-forests or call the office to Boggs Mountain Demonstration State Forest at 707-928-4378”
Grouse road entrance
“CAL FIRE staff would like to remind forest visitors that the old trailhead off Grouse Rd/Entrance Rd is on private property and does not exist as a public access point into Boggs Mountain Demonstration State Forest. Visitors are to enter from Highway 175 to Forestry Road at the main entrance as indicated on the map. Call the Boggs Mountain Demonstration State Forest at 707-928-4378 should you have any questions.”
