On Saturday under brilliant blue skies FOBM participated in the Cobb Mountain Blackberry Cobbler Festival. We sold T-shirts, maps, and other various merchandise to an enthusiastic crowd while sharing our mission to rebuild the trails at Boggs Mountain Demonstration State Forest. We also displayed pictures and examples of trees found in the forest and invited participants to guess which of the trees they may have in their own backyards. Thank you to all our members and friends who came by to say hello and all our Board members who participated.
Please join us on Saturday, August 29 at the Cobb Mountain Blackberry Cobbler Festival. The annual event is a highlight of the year here on the mountain. We will be at booth #62 with FOBM T-shirts, water bottles and a variety of other merchandise to sell as well as a raffle for merchandise or gift cards from local retailers. Do you know what trees are growing in YOUR backyard? Check out our colorful and informational display of conifer trees, their cones and needles.The event runs from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm at Cobb Creekside Meadow, 16541 Golf Road in Cobb.
